What We Do

The Depot is open on a Friday from 10-4pm and welcomes all New Scots who are looking for any basic needs (see below), a cuppa, a chat, support and local information.

Our doors are open to anyone who wants to pop in and see what we do, sign up as a volunteer, or donate items of clothing. The kettle is always on and there are always biscuits!

We provide New Scots with basic needs such as toiletries, underwear, shoes, socks,
and donated clothing.

We also provide Welcome Bags to new arrivals which provide the basics that they need.

Donations of clothes can be dropped off at the Depot at anytime, and our social media will update you on what the current needs are.

To ensure New Scots can keep in touch with their friends and families we can provide New Scots with sim cards. We also aim to repair and replace mobile phones and we are always looking for good second hand smart phones.

Our Bike Project has provided more than 130 bikes to New Scots. Supported by our wonderful volunteer bike mechanics we also run a Bike Repair Workshop on a Wednesday for anyone who needs a repair or a safety check.

We run various conversation classes to support New Scots to improve their English. We also run trips, activities and groups to introduce New Scots, engage them in their communities and help make local connections.

We collect, sort and pack donations of clothes, sleeping bags, tents and other items to
ship abroad to those in need.
